The last time we caught up with Ghost, the whole YPA Ghostridah issue was hot, and your boy from Dime was heading off to college to get his life started. Now Ghost is back. He's spent his first year at college, doing well and doing big things. He's attracting media, being selected for various all-star games, and will be featured on two DVD's coming this fall.Let the man himself inform us on what's up. Everything in the bold text was asked by us. Everything else came straight from the phenom himself. The PGZ: How has college ball been going for you thus far? Ghost: College ball has been a very good experience. I've learned a lot, not just basketball but about life. College definitely stepped up my game and mentality. I attend Lemoyne-Owen College, It is located in south Memphis, Tennessee... How did your team do at London HIU? London Hoop It Up was classic. Although we lost in the finals, it was a very great tournament. Our team was myself, Sho-stoppa, Ayo, and Crysis. Sho did well in the dunk off but missed a key dunk and came 4th or 5th, I won the King of the Court Challenge. We won an accumulated 14 games within two days. I think the nastiest move pulled was when I shook this dude and pulled the ball back and the dude dropped, then I threw a lob to Sho. Yeah definitely that was the tightest move. Wait, naw! When I played Cabbie 1 on 1, on TV, and I went through his legs with my whole body. Yeah, that was the best! (laughs) You attended the Top Gun Tournament with Sho-Stoppa. How did that go? That Top Gun Tourney was crazy filthy! I actually played on a different team than Sho. I was asked to run on a team before his team was entered. But we both did well. They were giving out prizes for thing like: Best Move pulled in tournament, Most Flashy Player, Flashiest Team, Best Dunk in a game, dunk champ, 3 point champ. I won the flashiest player, and my team won flashiest team. I lost the 3- point trophy by 1 point. Sho won the dunk off and got his "Dunk champ" award. Media was everywhere! We actually did a few interviews for people and got on some TV stations. I'm definitely running in that again this year. Tell us about the Power to Choose All-Star Games and Harlem Slam travel games. Power to Choose is a motivational team that does shows at schools, and does all-star games around Ontario. I play in those games whenever I can because they provide such a strong message for kids. Harlem Slam is a little all-star team for streetball. Dime players that have played in that are: Superman, T-mill, Cheez, myself, Prince, and I think Sho ran a couple times. Every time I play in those games the crowd is crunk, it's a wrap. I always take the show to another level. You'll see footage on my mixtape. How is Dime 2: The Election looking thus far?Wow man, that's all I can say. Election is pretty much done. I can't say too much but I seen a few things, heard some more good stuff while on the phone with Ayo and T-mill. Everyone on Dime will be on it. C-stan, Motion Sickness, Pepper, Tru Baller, Cheez, I-hop, No Body is on it, No Joke, myself, Prince, Sho-Stoppa, Make You Famous, and a bunch of people getting their shine from the open run. This DVD will definitely hold the crown for a while when it releases. When do you think the tape will be released? Well, to be honest, I can't really give an exact date, but I know 100% it is pretty much done, and T-mill and Ayo are more excited then ever about it. Your own solo mixtape is set to release just after. How's that going? My DVD is finally on the way. It's getting completed this summer and will be out in September or October. Price is still to be announced. It will feature players that I have a close connection with. I got a few editors on it for different stuff such as: Trycicles EP, PHP, Spook 'n Ya Ear, and a few more. On beef with Ghostridah. Overrated. What's good Ghostridah! What are your plans for the future? My plans for the future are really the same as when I started. Get my game to a level where I can make some serious money. I always work on that game man, it's serious. What else? Stay loyal to my people, friends, family, fans, and work hard to get as high on this as possible. FAN QUESTIONS Slow Motion asks: Do you plan on playing any pro ball? Yeah I definitely will be playing some pro ball. It's always been a dream, and I will play soon. GCOLD33 asks: Do you plan on playing at the Rucker or Kingdome any time soon? Yeah man, if I am around and get a chance to play at Rucker I definitely will put it on the line and go for it. Last words. All I got to say is feel me on this. This is my year y'all, it has been a long time coming and I am going to do what it takes to get that stuff I strive for, success. Ghost and No Joke are back together and we already got about 15 hours of footage in two days. The freestyles are fire! 'Got the Ghost DVD, Dime 2, and another surprise DVD coming. Thank you to everyone who reads this, and support your boy! Van-City stand up! T-dot Keep it hot! Memphis what it do? And mad love to The Playgroundz doing them big things. Always check the site and keepin' up to date with the game. Dime All Day! |
