 The Playgroundz has returned after a serious accident that occured on October 10th, 2005. The data center that stored and hosted all of our files, including videos, articles, images, content, and statistics, burned to the ground in a fire. There was nothing that could have been done to prevent the fire. The sad thing was, our information was not backed-up. You can be sure that we will be ready for this once in a lifetime event, if in fact, it happens again. Please bare with us while we attempt to restore the site as much as possible to its former state. It will take some time, but eventually The Playgroundz will get back to where it used to be.
The fans and the visitors fuel the site. In order for us to regroup, we need your help. Spread the word that we are officially back. When we gather more visitors, our status in search engines wil be boosted. This will lead to more visitors. These new visitors will click on the links sponsored by Google. This will generate revenue that is used directly to keep the site running and acquire more space. The more space, the more videos, articles, and news. These links keep us running. As of right now, we are working on rebuilding the video server. Before we can add videos, we need to install the component that stored, organized, and tracked all videos. Once this is installed, we can put videos back up. I would like to put all the old videos up before we add new ones. However, you must register as a member in order to download videos. The registration process is quick, and it only reguires a small amount of information and an activation e-mail. Your membership will keep you informed on what is to come in the future, and will give you sneek peeks on items before they go up on the site.
All articles that we collected on the 2005 And1 Mixtape Tour and the 2005 EBC Tournament were lost. We don't think it is worth the trouble to recollect them. Instead, we will post any new articles from 2006 (this point on).
As for the look, it is subject to change. I'm new sure what I'm going to do with it. The Global Streetball Forums will also get a new look, and will soon be hosted on our server.
Make sure you register and become a member of The Playgroundz. It will grant you access to all downloads and sneek peeks along with information about the future. If you like, we can e-mail you whenever new videos or big articles are added. That's all for now, stay tuned for more info. |
