What’s up, this your boy Special FX of Ball 4 Real, the best dunker out of New York City. This my diary and I’m putting y’all on to what’s been going on during the tour this summer.
Overall the tour has been going real well. Last year I did the last six stops with AND 1, this year I’m doing 30 with Ball 4 Real. I just want to get my name and my face out there so that people can call me by name when they see me and not mistake me for someone else.
All the games have been real good. The run in LA was one of my favorites though. I liked it because it was outdoors and the atmosphere was crazy. Vida Guerra coached the other team and there were a few celebrities at the game. Another one of my favorite stops was Vegas, Vegas was cool, everyone was chillin’ and gambling and I won some money. You know that’s always good...
A regular day at Ball 4 Real is relaxed. We usually wake up for an appearance at maybe the Boys and Girls Club or a radio station at 11 AM. Then we might have practice or workouts. Whenever we have some time we try to hit the mall and do a little bit of shop right away. I usually hang with my boys Circus and I’ll Be Right Back. We’re from New York so we bonded. Me and Circus are together all the time. That guy’s like my brother.
It’s cool when we go hangout because people run up to us - kids and adults - and they ask for autographs and stuff. We are like small scale celebrities. I played college ball at St. John’s and this is a bit different. We get a lot of attention. People love us.
Whenever we’re not hanging out at the mall and stuff our favorite place is the bus. Our bus has AO, Me, Circus, I’ll Be Right Back and 50. 50’s always sleeping or thinking of something crazy to do or say. We play video games and listen to music and just bond. Everyone is like family here, they call me the goon of the group because I’ll do anything for any of these guys. Can’t nobody see me in MLB Baseball for the Xbox 360. I be killin’ em. We talk about a lot of stuff and reminisce about our high school days. AO got tapes of him in high school and the New York guys talk about how crazy NY high school ball was back when we were in high school.
I’d like to shout out the Jump Squad, myself, Mr. 720 and High Rizer. Also shout out to the Quality Crew - we eat good, dress good and look good.
Thanks for hangin’ with me. I’ll be back next week to fill you in on our stops in North Carolina, South Carolina and DC.
