I wanted to post this small blog up by Sean Couch at BounceMag because it's real talk. Listen up and pay attention to what Sean and the rest of the guys over at Bounce stand for...
"With Mousey and Fat Joe defecting from EBC and starting their own thing on 145th and Lenox the landscape of streetball has changed. When a kid gets a chance to see a pro live it’s love. Now there are 3 choices: EBC, Dyckman, and the Tri-State Classic above 110th street. The player without college eligibility now has more choices to make their game shine and for a chosen few to make money.
The hustle of the street now goes beyond just a good game, a hand clap and thanks for showing up. The new Ball 4 Real tour is giving players six-figures along with the AND 1 tour.
So the question is: What does the street pay out? We got the one-on-one and two-on-two games that give between $5,000 to $10,000 dollars. We see that, but what does the player that demands the double get up at EBC, Dyckman, or Kingdome? The one that opens up a lane for a guard or a jump shot for the featured shooter? As men recreate and put their money where their minds are the game of the street is always raw and uncut. So now what player puts his money on himself? Now you get Bounce…from the playground. Our mental is playground but with respect and love. We live for good, safe competition. Enjoy our next edition at all the major courts around the city."
